Estes Park School District is seeking a motivated Spanish-speaker to connect with students in the school district. This person would support the school's efforts to connect with and engage the non-English proficient students. Offer consistent on-site support to school staff and students in their ability to communicate and ensure an effective relationship so that students can engage in deep learning at school.
General Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with others in a team setting.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong Spanish – English bilingual verbal and writing skills.
- Ability to solve problems.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an educational environment.
- Experience working with school age children, including those with behavioral challenges.
- Basic bilingual skills and experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse students.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Monitor and reinforce appropriate student behavior during various activities such as play, lunch, in-school suspension, or in the classroom as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
