School Psychologist Long Term Substitute - Big Lake Schools

Full time (1.0 FTE) position - Temporary Position

Job Summary:
The school psychologist provides a full range of school psychological services to students ages 0-21 including problem-solving interventions, screenings and assessments, consultation and advisement, and program evaluation to help ensure that students' needs are met. Within the assigned district(s), actively participate in the multi-systems of support process; child study; assessment process; and provide ongoing consultation. Collaborate with educators, administrators, support staff, families, and other mental health professionals to create safe, healthy and supportive learning environments for students and to strengthen connections between home and school. Collaborate with other school psychologists to ensure that due process timelines and procedures are honored in each of the SNWSEC member districts
Licensure:
- Ed.S. (Specialist Degree) in School Psychology and MN license in School Psychology.
- Experience in schools preferred.
Experience:
- Experience working with students from elementary through high school
- Experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred
Essential Skills Required:
- Understanding of the Minnesota Academic Standards for content area
- Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district
- Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning
- Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families
- Experience working with diverse students and families
