Speech Pathologist with 215 Certification

Description of Position
The Speech Pathologist/Clinician provides individualized speech and language therapy for students with disabilities.
 
Area of Responsibility
Duties include but not limited to the following:

• Assess, diagnose and teach students with communicative disorders including articulation, language, fluency voice and hearing impairments
• Demonstrate good organizational skills
• Provide coordination from home intervention services and consultative intervention for students and parents/guardians
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Manage varied caseloads within an itinerate position to provide consultative and direct services to students with disabilities
• Adapt and modify curricula and instruction as required by individual students’ education plans
• Participate in preparing each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP)
• Attend and participate in faculty meetings, in-service and professional development
• Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and board policy
• Participate in ongoing staff development, to interact effectively with colleagues and administrators for the implementation of inclusive services for identified students as appropriate
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience with state of the art assistive technology related to communication
• Perform other duties assigned by the Conservator and Special Education Director

• Such other qualifications as may be set by the Special Education Director or Conservator
• Clinician requires a Master’s degree
