STEM Focused Enrichment/Intervention Teacher (1 Year Position)

Description:

The position is one year to teach and provide Math and Science Enrichment/Intervention at the Salisbury Central School.  The Salisbury Central School is an elementary school in Lakeville, CT, and is part of the Region One School District.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will instruct students in a classroom and small group setting. The position includes the following:

• Co-teaching Grade 6 Illustrative Math.
• Math and Science Enrichment/Intervention for students in a K-8 school.
• Covering related duties as part of the Grade 6 teaching team.

Qualifications:

• CT Certification preferred or graduated with a Bachelor's degree at minimum
• Experience with Mathematics preferred.

Working Conditions:

• August 22nd - Last day of school June 2024
• .5 FTE, 3.5 hours per day M-F 
• Paid time off as per the teacher's Collective Bargaining Agreement 

Requirements:

• Must pass federal and local background checks 
• Must complete all pre-employment requirements before the start date
• If the successful candidate is not certified, a long-term substitute authorization from the State Dept. of Ed. will need to be filed. The Central Office will assist with this task.
