Description: Community Consolidated School District 89 is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for Westfield Elementary School. This position will be for the 2023-2024 school year.
Position Type: This candidate will be tasked with instructing Kindergarten students in such a manner as to inspire, motivate and stimulate the child to develop skills and concepts to the utmost of the child's learning capabilities.
Job Responsibilities (other responsibilities may be assigned):
1. To direct and supervise the conduct of all students in the classroom, school facilities and grounds.
2. To recommend the assignment of students.
3. To recommend changes and improvements in the curriculum to the principal and/or appropriate curriculum committees.
4. To seek assistance from or through the principal, supportive services staff or other specialists to improve the instructional program, or to help solve specific problems.
Qualifications: All applicants for this position is required to meet Illinois State Board of Education requirements, including a PEL, Bachelor's degree, Elementary Education K-9 endorsement (ELEM), as well as NCLB - No Child Left Behind certification. Endorsements required: Elem, EL or LBS1 preferred.
