Educational Sign Language Interpreter - ENHS and Avilla Elementary

East Noble School Corporation is accepting applications for the following vacancy:  Educational Sign Language Interpreter
 
Building:  East Noble High School or Avilla Elementary 
7 hours per day for 181 days of the school year.
Non-licensed interpreter starting hourly rate, $17.12.  Licensed interpreter starting hourly rate, $27.17

Requirements:  

• Bachelor Degree in Sign Language Interpreter Training, Deaf Studies, American Sign Language, or related field with major emphasis on American Sign Language
• Fluent in ASL (intermediate-plus level of expressive language proficiency)
• Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Indiana Professional Educator’s License
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Quality references

 
Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpreting (ASL)
• Participate in the IEP process
• Work with multidisciplinary team to ensure student(s) receive services needed
