Certified Interventionist
QUALIFICATIONS:
Appropriate Kentucky teaching certificate
REPORTS TO:
Building Principal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides academic intervention support to students using a variety of instructional techniques.
Works toward implementing the instructional programs as established through guidelines provided by the district and school SBDM.
Plans lessons and uses instructional materials which will best meet the needs of students. Manages time wisely to make the greatest use of time for student instruction.
Creates an atmosphere that is conducive to learning.
Has highly established and consistent standards of student behavior and learning.
On a regular basis, evaluates and monitors student progress toward meeting academic goals.
Collaborates with classroom teachers to communicate and plan for student learning for shared students.
Communicates to parents about student progress toward meeting academic goals.
Establishes an on-going system for professional growth through professional development opportunities.
Uses appropriate intervention programs with fidelity. Other duties as assigned.

Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
