Salary/Pay Scale: GUSTO Rate
Uncertified Substitute Teacher: $100.00/Day
NYS Certified Substitute Teacher: $115.00/Day
(For the 2022-2023 school year, active out of state certifications will be deemed certified status for purposes of pay)
NYS Certified Career Substitute Teacher (as defined in the GUSTO contract): $140.00/Day
Requirements:
-New York State Certified Teacher preferred
-Non-certified teachers accepted on an as needed basis
-Must have completed 60 college credit hours
-40-day limit per school year (NYS Education Law)
-Must possess the ability to interact effectively with staff, students and parents
-Must demonstrate professional demeanor
-Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
-Must be punctual and dependable.
Description:
-Provide per diem instructional services for various levels and subject areas
-Follow established lesson plan for each assignment
-Manage student behavior as needed
-Hours vary per building and assignment
-Follow directions given by school administration and/or cooperating teacher
