Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent; evidence of excellent human relations and communication skills; demonstrated self-starter; demonstrated proficiency with computers, and a willingness to proactively learn more about the Hopkins School District so as to more easily address questions.
Job Summary: The Receptionist Substitute enthusiastically and effectively meets, greets, and assists all building visitors on the phone or in person; oversees security check-in at the school entrance reception desk by requesting that people sign in and receive a visitor's badge; provides assistance to visitors and resolves routine inquiries; assists in monitoring student traffic; maintains a working knowledge of all building departments, functions, and locations; provides clerical support as needed and requested; and serves as building switchboard operator by providing assistance to callers and directing phone call to the appropriate person(s).
