Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A master’s degree.
2. Have or eligible for New Mexico Licensure.
3. Certification as an Educational Diagnostician.
4. Reliable transportation and appropriate insurance and New Mexico Driver’s License for same.
5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
SUPERVISOR: Director of Special Education
JOB GOAL: To determine if a child is eligible for Special Education services and, if eligible, determine the child’s category of exceptionality. Additionally, to evaluate, diagnose, and participate in the educational planning for students referred for special education services in order that they may obtain the richest educational experience and appropriate educational environment available to meet the student’s needs.
