Elementary Teacher - Grade 4 or 5
Must hold a certificate issued by Florida Department of Education.
The certificate must be in one of the following types: Professional Certificate, Temporary Certificate, Statement of Status of Eligibility.
The certificate position area must be in one of the following areas: Computers, Elementary Teacher, Success for All, Title I.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: 4th, 5th.
The certificate status must be active.
Description
Saint Ann Catholic School is seeking a full-time teacher for 4th grade and full-time teacher for 5th grade for the 2017-2018 school year. Teacher is expected to follow the instructional mission of the school thereby enabling students to become knowledgeable and active Christians. Desired qualities include strong work ethic and good classroom management skills, as well as a strong background in use of technology, varied methods of assessment, and meeting the individual needs of all students. Salary is commensurate with experience and education level. A competitive benefits package is included with this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach grade level curriculum in accordance with diocesan curriculum standards • Support teachings of the Catholic church and foster discipleship in students • Promote high academic standards enabling students to reach their full potential • Prepare thoughtful lesson plans to advance student understanding of grade level subjects using a variety of best teaching practices • Keep accurate and timely student records and documentation • Actively supervise students as needed and support a safe learning environment • Attend all meetings, conferences as requested. • Participate in extracurricular activities of the school • Other responsibilities as outlined in the faculty handbook
