The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Special Education, Autism, Deaf-Blind, Early Intervention Specialist, Educational Diagnostician, Emotional Behavior Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Severe/Profound Disabilities, Special Education (General), Traumatic Brain Injury, Visual Impairment, Consultant, Academic Coach.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.

Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) Grades 7-12
Provide comprehensive educational evaluation services as a member of the Child Study Team and the Intervention and Referral Team in the assessment, educational planning, monitoring, testing, and re-evaluation of students in need. Age groups ranging from 7th to 12th grade. - School based experience with Administrative Codes, Rules and Regulations - Child Study Team Meetings - Case Manager for grade 7-12 - Testing/Evaluations - Experience with Time Management, Deadlines, Diverse School Settings (Public and Non-Public and Charter) High-Pressure environment. - Work with Special Education Aides to assist with programs and modifications - Provide training to staff members Travel Requirements - Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards - Works in standard office and school building environments. Qualifications Profile Certification/License: - New Jersey State Certification - Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation. Education: - Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment. - Masters Degree Experience: - Successful prior special education teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
