Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Under general supervision, provides training and other forms of technical assistance in behavioral and instructional strategies, educational planning, behavior management and student assessment to teachers of students with disabilities, including students diagnosed with autism, intellectual disabilities, specific learning disabilities and emotional and behavioral disorders.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are representative for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments and Analysis; consults with district administration, school-based staff, and parents regarding issues relating to student performance.
• Conduct classroom observations; provides written documentation of classroom and student observations to teachers and administrators.
• Trains and monitors teachers and paraprofessionals in appropriate behavior strategy and/or intervention implementation, student assessment and data collection.
• Models and provides training to teachers and paraprofessionals in effective classroom management, instructional strategies and specialized issues related to students with disabilities; serves as a mentor and coach in order to improve teacher performance and student achievement.
• Assists in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEP) for students.
• Collaborates with outside BCBA providers.
• Manage a caseload of students.
• Provide consultation and support for IEP meetings, as needed.
• Provide supervision of intern and/or practicum students.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Master’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Behavior Analysis or related field required.
• Minimum three (3) year of experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, PERMITS:
• Requires valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst credentials.
