Choir and Music Teacher
Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Chorus/Vocal, Music Therapy.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Description
Juan Diego Catholic High School and St. John the Baptist Middle School are searching for a Choir and Music Teacher. The Skaggs Catholic Center, where both schools are located, is a campus of three schools and a parish. The position would encompass instruction of the choirs for both schools, as well as the potential to teach classes such as Music Appreciation.
The position includes being present at all campus liturgies, rehearsing a combined choir (Middle School and High School choirs), collaborating with the Elementary choir instructor, training cantors, and making all music selections for school liturgies (Monthly masses, Holy Days, Feast Days, Sacrament Celebrations). THe choir teacher also assists with annual musical theatre productions.
