Instructional Assistant - Student Assistant

Job Summary: An Instructional Assistant has the primary responsibility of carrying out instruction in the classroom or area they are assigned. The building principal will designate the instructional setting for the position and the teacher will assign daily duties. This position is for an Instructional Assistant to work with an individual student at the middle school.

Qualifications: Instructional Assistants must be highly qualified. The principal will attempt to fill instructional assistant positions with candidates who hold an active Indiana teacher’s license or Bachelor’s Degree. However, the principal will consider all applicants. This person must be able to work with all children including those that may have varied disabilities including, but not limited to, emotional, physical, or learning disabilities. The person employed must be able to appropriately interact with all age levels, children to adult.
