Hopewell City Public Schools
Description
Hopewell City Schools provide outstanding educational programs for approximately 4,000 students. The system is composed of three elementary schools (K - 5), one middle school (6 - 8), one high school (9-12) and one learning center (Preschool - Adult). All of our schools have been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Hopewell is a small but very diverse industrial city located twenty miles southeast of Richmond at the confluence of the James and Appomattox Rivers. Our school division has a rich history and tradition well known across southside Virginia. Out of that tradition, exciting and innovative educational activities abound in our schools everyday. Our school division serves between 4,000-4,500 students with a staff of more than 600 employees.
