Description
Discover Martin County on the Treasure Coast, just 30 minutes north of Palm Beach. Martin County is located equidistant between Miami and Orlando along the southeast coast of Florida. Enjoy uncrowded Atlantic Ocean beaches and pristine rivers and waterways for swimming, boating, sport and charter fishing, skiing, surfing, sailing and more. The Martin County School District serves more than 19,000 students from Pre-K through Adult. Each school day, we open the doors of 12 elementary schools, five middle schools, one alternative school, and three comprehensive high schools to create a dynamic educational network that spans Martin County. In addition, the district’s Environmental Studies Center provides educational experiences for all students in grades K-7, and special programs for high school students in Marine Biology and Environmental Science. The District also provides Challenger School for students with exceptional needs, as well as Pre-Kindergarten and adult education program sites. Our competitive academic achievements, industry-driven Career Academy curriculum, and outstanding cultural arts and athletic programs are among Florida’s best. The Martin County School District is consistently ranked among the state’s top performing school districts, and is officially recognized as an Academically High-Performing District. In addition, several of the district’s newest initiatives, such as the “Bring It 180” attendance campaign, enhanced campus security, virtual instruction programs through MOSAIC Digital Academy, and two Parent Resource Centers reflect the district’s timely response to the challenges of an ever-changing educational landscape. But the true strength of the Martin County School District is in the quality of its instructional and support staff. As Martin County’s second largest employer, more than 3,200 district professionals work together as a team to provide our students with a world-class education in a safe and optimum learning environment.
