Lincoln School District
Lincoln School District
Description
Our Focus... Academics! Our Motto... Tradition, Pride, and Excellence! Nestled away in the scenic Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas is a small but progressive town. Lincoln is located twenty miles west of Fayetteville, Arkansas, one of the fastest growing regions in the United States. The city of Lincoln may at first appear to be a typical small, southern community, but Lincoln is much more than that. With strong family values partnered with a vision for the future, Lincoln is an ideal place to raise a family. At the heart of this small town is the Lincoln Consolidated Public School System. Lincoln School has its eye toward the future. With a K - 12 student population of approximately 1,250 and a teaching staff of 92, the student / teacher ratio is approximately 13 to 1. The school is small enough to provide individual attention to students but large enough to offer a variety of opportunities and course offerings. These opportunities are evident almost immediately when one enters one of the 8 computer labs on campus. From kindergarten to twelfth grade our students and staff are provided with state of the art technology equipped with some of the most current hardware and software. With nearly 500 computers on campus we have a nearly one computer to every 2.5 student ratio. Students have the potential to graduate this district with Microsoft Office User Specialist certification and Cicso Certified Network Associate certification. Students also have potential to graduate with up to 19 college credit hours including College English, College Algebra / Finite Math, and Western Civilization courses taken through our Distance Learning Lab. Students at all grade levels are using technology to better prepare themselves for this technology-oriented society. Strong parent and community involvement is certainly one of the "perks" of attending a mid-sized school district in a rural setting. With parent volunteers who provide tutoring as well as our W.
