Description

Located in northwestern North Dakota, Williston is a hub for the oil industry in the Bakken formation. Williston is an economically diverse, fast-growing, and dynamic community with a population of approximately 30,000 people [2020 Census]. Prior to 2021, the city of Williston had two school districts: Williston Public Schools #1 and Williams County School District #8. After this time, these two districts merged to create Williston Basin School District #7. Our District currently consists of: • Pre-K School Program: Future Coyotes Pre-K Center • 8 Elementary Schools for Grades K-4: Garden Valley, Hagan, Lewis & Clark, McVay, Missouri Ridge (also includes Grade 5), Rickard, Sloulin, and Wilkinson • 1 Middle School for grades 5-8: Williston Middle School Central Campus • 2 High Schools: Del Easton Alternative High School and Williston High School

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to inspire and prepare students for the next level of education, work, and life. Our Vision is to foster student growth and build trusting partnerships between students, staff, family, and community. An education at WBSD #7 will support our student's intellectual, social, and emotional growth. We will provide students with an innovative curriculum supported by various co-curricular activities. The outcome of our efforts will empower students to make a difference in their community and world. We believe in providing a safe environment where healthy relationships and student growth are priorities.
