School Social Worker
School mental health service worker needed to provide mental health services and support to students and families. Services will target the physical and psychological safety of our students and school, as well as academic performance and problem-solving skills. Applicant must be able to address concerns involving social–emotional learning, mental wellness, resilience, and positive connections between students. They will be responsible to promote a school culture in which students feel safe and empowered to report and address safety concerns. In addition, the applicate must be involved in crisis intervention, connecting students and families to community resources.
The school mental health service worker is an integral link between school, home, and community in helping students achieve academic success. They work directly with school administrations as well as students and families, providing leadership in forming school discipline policies, mental health intervention, crisis management, and support services. As part of an interdisciplinary team to help students succeed, the school mental health service worker also facilitates community involvement in the school while advocating for student success.
