Essential Duties Responsible for obtaining quotes for cabling, connectors, materials and equipment associated with network, intercom, security, telephone, fire alarm, sound and other low voltage systems; Assists in the installation of twisted pair, coaxial, fiber and other low voltage cabling; Orders materials and equipment for technicians; Assists in the maintenance of master clock, wireless and battery clock systems; Assists in the maintenance and installation of Aiphone intercom systems; Responsible for ensuring that all equipment received is properly entered into inventory and that the inventory is properly updated; Maintains various blanket purchase orders, debits balances accordingly and requests balances to be increased as needed; Drafts purchase requisition requests for materials and equipment; Assists with the installation, maintenance and repair of security and fire alarm systems; Maintains adequate stock levels for cabling materials and other equipment such as components for PBX and intercoms systems; Provides secondary support for intercom system products and failures; Requests return material authorizations (RMAs) and returns warranted equipment to vendors; Assists with the purchase and ordering of technical material and equipment required for renovations and new school constructions projects; Attends work daily; Performs self-auditing practices in safety awareness and procedures; Performs overtime work and other duties as assigned.
