Attendance/Enrollment Secretary (#784815)
• Support the Office Manager. • Ensure that all student records are in accord with state law and board policy. • Manage student applications, the annual lottery, and subsequent enrollment. • Transfer and withdraw students. Request and release student records and receive referrals from a variety of agencies and school districts. Notify appropriate personnel of students’ enrollment and any updated information. • Record student attendance, absences, and tardies each day. Call all parents when their children are absent. • Be responsible for the immunization records for all students. Ensure that all students Pre-K to 8th grade are properly immunized or have an exemption from the county health department. Ensure that immunization reports are submitted in a timely manner. • Collaborate with the Office Manager to answer incoming telephone calls for the purpose of screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries and/or taking messages. • Attend necessary in-service meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. • Compile data from a variety of sources for the purpose of preparing reports or processing requests. • Maintain a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records. • Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials and work with office manager to place approved requisition orders for office and staff. • Support the Principal for the purpose of ensuring the efficient operation of the Office. • Greet employees, visitors/guests in person or via telephone for the purpose of providing information, taking messages, and welcoming families. • Have a positive demeanor, and show respect to all. • Provide basic first aid to ill and injured students. Contact parents regarding illness or injury and document actions taken. • Fulfill any other assigned duties.
