Rio Blanco BOCES is currently seeking applications for a Jr High Special Education Teacher in the Rangely School District for the 2019-2020 school year. Essential duties and responsibilities: Case manage to meet all special education requirements for students with a wide spectrum of needs including SSN and SLD. Develop and review IEP goals and monitors progress. Develop, plan, and implement multi-sensory instruction, accommodations, and adaptations to educational programs for a wider range of academic, social/emotional, mental, and physical needs. Conduct benchmark and criterion-referenced assessments to drive targeted, intensive instruction to meet individual student needs. Conduct all assessment required with determining student special education eligibility. Collaborate with classroom teachers on implementation of IEPs for all learners on caseload. Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss students’ progress and interpret programming. Participate in the building level prereferral process including the MTSS process. Provide for physical and health care needs of students as necessary. Ensure compliance with IDEA and ECEA rules and regulations.
