TITLE: LIBRARIAN
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Arizona state teaching certification
- Appropriate certification
- Valid fingerprint clearance card
- Knowledge of library practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
REPORTS TO: Principal/Supervisor
JOB GOAL: This position coordinates the operation of an elementary school library. The
position independently supervises K-5 students in the library during teacher
planning time.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Professional Learning Community (PLC) Collaboration
Serve as an active and responsive member of content-area and department Professional
Learning Communities (PLCs), collaborating to analyze student data, refine instructional
practices, and improve student outcomes.
- Standards-Based Instruction & Curriculum Alignment
Design and deliver standards-based lessons aligned to Arizona State Standards, including
development and implementation of Scope & Sequence documents and Curriculum Maps
to ensure instructional coherence and rigor.
- Teacher Clarity & Purposeful Instruction
Demonstrate Teacher Clarity by providing explicit learning intentions, success criteria,
and purposeful instruction, so students understand what they are learning, why it matters,
and how to demonstrate mastery.
- Differentiated Instruction for Diverse Learners
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, linguistic, and social-emotional
needs of all student populations, including advanced learners, students with disabilities,
and English language learners.
- Effective Communication & Partnership
Communicate effectively and professionally with families, students, and colleagues
regarding student progress, academic expectations, and school initiatives.
- Instructional Coaching & Continuous Improvement
Seek, reflect on, and apply instructional feedback; actively participate in coaching cycles
and embed best practices into daily instruction to continuously improve teaching
effectiveness.
- Professional Growth & Development
Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and implement new learning
to challenge personal practice, support school goals, and promote student achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
- Assume legal responsibility for supervision of students.
- Assume individual responsibilities, which may be assigned by the principal/supervisor,
which relate to committee work, student activities, student supervision, or other planning
and professional assignments.
- Submit required paperwork on time.Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as
required by law, Paradise Schools policy, and administrative regulation.
- Perform other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as Paradise Schools may from
time to time assign.

CONTRACT LENGTH: Per Paradise Schools calendar. Hours determined by site.
EVALUATION: Annually at a minimum by Principal or Supervisor.
