Position Overview: Newcastle Public Schools is seeking a high-energy, qualified professional to serve as the Associate Head Coach for the Girls Wrestling program across both Newcastle High School and Newcastle Middle School. This leadership role involves working closely with the athletic department to build and sustain a competitive wrestling program while fostering a positive environment for student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage aspects of the NHS/NMS Girls Wrestling program, including daily practices, technique development, and tournament/dual meet coaching. Oversee the development of student-athletes at both the middle school and high school levels to ensure program continuity. Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and athletic excellence. Maintain professional conduct in accordance with district policies and represent Newcastle Public Schools positively within the wrestling community.
Qualifications: Extensive experience in wrestling coaching (specifically girls' wrestling preferred) or competing at a high level. Coaching certification as required by the State of Oklahoma and the Newcastle Board of Education. Ability to also work as a classroom teacher is strongly preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills to manage a multi-level program. Ability to pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
