Description

TITLE:  MAINTENANCE SITE WORKER

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least five years custodial or maintenance experience, preferable in a school setting
  • Valid fingerprint clearance card

 

 

REPORTS TO:  Principal

 

JOB GOAL: Maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept school campus by ensuring all facilities, classrooms, and outdoor areas are properly maintained, repaired, and presentable at all times. The campus should look neat, functional, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs to ensure facilities and equipment remain in good working condition.
  • Work on specialized equipment as necessary, for example: electrical, plumbing, cooling/heating.
  • Inspects school buildings and grounds on a daily basis for needed attention and/or repairs.
  • Establishes and prioritizes maintenance repairs.
  • Process work orders, maintains supply inventory and recommends purchase of tools and equipment, as well as regularly used items.
  • Strives to promote the health of students and staff.
  • Perform tasks assigned by supervisors in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activity.
  • Available for emergency calls.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, school personnel and the public.
  • Perform other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as Paradise Schools may from time to time assign.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:   Per Paradise Schools calendar. (12 month position).  Hours 9:30am-6:00pm

 

EVALUATION:  At least annually by the Principal/Maintenance Supervisor
