REGISTRAR- MADISON MIDDLE SCHOOL
 

QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or GED and specialized vocational experience in or after high school in the field of secretarial and administrative procedures.  One to two years in office administration and clerical skills, including word processing and data entry on computers required.  Employee must be able to walk for 4 hours.  Job requires occasional bending/stooping/squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing, reaching above the shoulder and pushing/pulling.  Job requires occasional carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds.  Job requires employee to use both hands for repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping and fine manipulation.  Employee must possess hearing and speaking abilities to monitor equipment and communicate with employees, students, and parents.  The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to the listed qualifications.
 
CONTRACT:  11 Months
 
WORKING HOURS:  8 hours daily, usually between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
 
REPORTS TO:  Principal
EVALUATED BY: Principal
SUPERVISES:  Student Aides
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Works with SIS system for scheduling, enrolling new/existing students, and withdrawing students.
  2. Works with SIS system to verify transcripts and grades, distributes grade cards, prepares class rankings and grade point averages.
  3. Classifies, sorts, and files correspondence and other documentation including maintaining cumulative student records.
  4. Compiles state reports regarding student enrollment.
  5. Copies current student and graduate records for mailing to requesting officials.
  6. Prepares honor roll, academic and excellence award printouts.
  7. Maintains printout of student deficiencies.
  8. Helps organize student registration including maintaining course selection booklets for all grades (6-8).
  9. Issues initial Chromebooks for new students.
  10. Responds to requests for information.
  11. Initiates a positive attitude in dealing with parental or public complaints.
  12. Monitors security cameras and assists during drills.
  13. Assigns lockers, changes combinations, and maintains locker assignments.
  14. Assists with sub placement.
  15. Compiles and summarizes statistical data for assistant principal.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
