Position Overview: Newcastle Public Schools is seeking a high-energy, qualified professional to lead the Pom program at Newcastle High School. The Head Pom Coach is responsible for building a competitive program while supporting the school’s overall success and fostering a positive environment for student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the NHS Pom program, including choreography, practice schedules, and performances.
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all student-athletes.
Facilitate a successful program by promoting teamwork, school spirit, and athletic excellence.
Maintain high standards of professional conduct in accordance with district policies.
Qualifications:
Relevant coaching experience in dance or pom, or certification as required by the State of Oklahoma and Newcastle Board of Education.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
