Description
Reading Intervention Title 1
The reading interventionist will provide support to classroom teachers, administrators and students through modeling, collaborative planning, observing, coaching, team teaching,
professional development and facilitating collaborative team meetings (PLCs) to ensure program goals are met. In addition, the reading interventionist will provide systematic and explicit
intervention for students who approach or fall far below in reading standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:

intervention for students who approach or fall far below in reading standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Education preferred
- Bilingual Preferred
- Arizona Teaching Certificate / 3 years teaching experience
- Reading Specialist Endorsement
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement a data-informed, research-based reading intervention plan and collaborate with site administrator and staff.
- Uses district and state assessment data to improve instruction.
- Facilitates instruction based on current research-based best practices in reading.
- Uses a variety of data to plan to facilitate instruction based on current research-based best practices in reading.
- Provide intervention lessons at the K-8 level whose assessment data places them in the "at risk" level through both a push in and out model, with flexible groupings.
- Administers screeners, BOY, MOY and EOY assessments.
- Provides leadership in the development and alignment of K-8 Reading intervention and curriculum.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of K-8 Reading Intervention programs in meeting student needs and coordinates with site admin.
- Supports completion of literacy progress monitoring.
- Participates in team reviews concerning academic progress of at-risk students
- Use adopted supplemental, intervention, and/or core reading program materials that meet the requirements for SBRR.
- Maintains accurate, complete, legible and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the site admin.

SALARY: Teacher Salary Schedule
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 months
