Position Summary:
Newcastle Early Childhood Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This position will support the individualized learning needs of students with disabilities in a collaborative and inclusive early childhood setting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide developmentally appropriate instruction to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff.
Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility and IEP meetings.
Maintain accurate documentation and student records in compliance with IDEA and Oklahoma State Department of Education regulations.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications: Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Early Childhood and Special Education (or eligible).
Knowledge of early childhood development and special education instructional strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in early childhood or preschool settings.
Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and assistive technologies.
Experience with IEP development and implementation.
