Hawthorn Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team of educators. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports young learners’ social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. This role requires strong communication, classroom management, and instructional skills aligned with Utah Core Standards for Kindergarten. Key Responsibilities: ? Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Utah State Standards. ? Create a safe and engaging learning environment that promotes creativity, curiosity, and independence. ? Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. ? Utilize formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and monitor student progress. ? Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and development. ? Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. ? Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance, assessments, and observations. ? Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to enhance the kindergarten program. ? Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
