The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.

Description

Elevated Charter School Education Coordinators lead, motivate, and mentor our students to success. This is a unique opportunity for Utah licensed teachers to partner with parents and students to provide innovative learning choices within a Personalized Competency-based Learning (PCBL) model. Elevated is a virtual K-12 charter school, serving students throughout the state of Utah.

Elevated students understand how to inclusively collaborate with diverse individuals within their community and beyond. Elevated students are empowered to move on to higher education, fulfilling careers, and productive citizenship.

Job Responsibilities

Advise an assigned cohort of students on class and curriculum selection, intervention resources, and outside educational resources. Cohort groups include all students within the same family/household, are organized by geographic region, and remain with the same Cohort Teacher for multiple school years whenever possible.

Verify Learner Verified Attendance through: Holding Learning Conferences with each student and at least 1 parent/guardian at the end of each Unit or at least every 30 school days. Most Conferences are done via Zoom, but at least 1 Learning Conference each semester must be in person. Additional check-ins with students who are not meeting academic and/or attendance requirements. Collect Learning Samples in each core subject or course, at the end of each Unit Collect Attendance Verification Forms at the end of each Unit, and report attendance in ASPIRE.

Monitor overall academic progress of cohort students, collaborating with instructional and other student support staff. As needed, Cohort Teachers provide support with academic planning & time management, and assist students and parents in accessing support.

Monitor and provide support to students who are using Elevated-approved alternative curriculum and/or outside classes.

Administer various assessments, including State Testing and school-wide assessments.

Guide students through Personal Projects, over the full school year.

Maintain Digital Portfolios (Google Drive folders) for each student, containing: Learning Samples, progress reports, and other evidence of learning.

Respond to student and parent messages, via email, Schoology messenger, and/or phone messages & texts within 24 business/school hours.

ECS provides Cohort Teachers with school email and Google Voice phone number.

Attend staff meetings, including professional development and collaborative planning (PLCs).

Attend in-person regional activities, including classes and field trips, at which they supervise students and teach classes as needed.
