POSITION: PART-TIME BEHAVIOR AIDE ~ EAGLE VIEW ELEMENTARY
(UP TO 29.5 HOURS, VOUCHER POSITION, NO BENEFITS)
APPLICANTS MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
District Expectations for a Behavior Intervention Aide:
• Be responsible for the education of assigned students;
• Create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth;
• Relate positively with students, staff, parents, and community;
• Assist with data collection;
• Computer skills;
• Track behavior and academic progress of targeted at-risk students;
• Receive up to five names from each Teacher of students who they think display at risk behaviors;
• Teach Bully-ology classes and track incidents of bullying for students who are bullies or victims of bullying;
• Check in with students weekly/daily as needed to assess their progress and check on behavior;
• Work cooperatively with all staff to insure a comfortable and pleasant working environment that will be conducive to learning and will encourage safety and good relationships;
• Assist with recess and/or bus duty as needed;
• Other duties as assigned by school administrator.
Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma;
• Must hold Associate’s degree or have 48 semester hours of college credit OR must have passed or be willing to pass the ParaPro test within 30 days of hire.
