Must hold a certificate issued by Oklahoma State Department of Education.
The certificate position area must be in one of the following areas: Autism, Deaf-Blind, Early Intervention Specialist, Educational Diagnostician, Emotional Behavior Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Severe/Profound Disabilities, Special Education (General), Traumatic Brain Injury, Visual Impairment, Audiologist, Crisis Intervention Specialist, Functional Behavioral Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Orientation and Mobility Specialist, Physical Therapist, School Psychologist, Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: Preschool/Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The certificate status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and efficient School Psychologist to serve in a part-time evaluator role. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys conducting psychoeducational evaluations and contributing to data-driven eligibility decisions in a collaborative, student-centered environment.
Job Goals: ? To provide individual psycho-educational evaluation in the areas of social and emotional adjustment, intelligence, academic achievement, sensory and perceptual motor functioning and environmental/cultural influences. ? To provide a psycho-educational diagnosis and interpret the results of evaluations, and other factors which influence the learning process. ? To provide a psycho-educational diagnosis and interpret the results of evaluations, and other related services required to meet the individual needs of students. To improve or maintain the student’s level of functioning to facilitate optimal learning through the identification, evaluation and treatment of problems.
Performance Responsibilities: ? Prepare comprehensive psycho-educational reports . ? Makes recommendations for intervention and acts as an IEP team member. Attends categorical eligibility that involves presentation of evaluation results. ? Maintains confidential records. Provides documentation of progress and prepares evaluation. ? Give healthy and effective alternatives to teachers, parents, and administrators about problems in learning and behavior. ? Experience with standardized assessments (e.g., WISC, BASC, KTEA, etc.) ? Strong writing and time management skills ? Familiarity with IDEA and Oklahoma special education processes ? Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
