Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Adapted Physical Education, Physical Education.
The license must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.

About Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy: Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy is a dynamic public charter school dedicated to nurturing young minds and empowering them to become innovative leaders of tomorrow. IEA is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and student-centered Elementary PE Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students develop lifelong fitness habits, teamwork, and social-emotional skills through structured physical activity. This individual will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Utah Core Standards for Physical Education and will contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
Key Responsibilities: -Develop and implement standards-based PE lessons for students in grades K–8. -Promote physical literacy, teamwork, perseverance, and a healthy lifestyle. -Create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for all students. -Use a variety of instructional strategies and formative assessments to support student learning. -Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and school leaders to meet diverse student needs. -Monitor student behavior and manage classroom routines effectively. -Maintain equipment and organize materials needed for lessons and school events. -Organize and support school-wide fitness events, field days, or health-related programming. -Uphold school-wide expectations and actively contribute to the school’s mission and community.
Qualifications: Required: -Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field. -Valid Utah Professional Educator License with a PE endorsement (or be eligible for licensure). -CPR/First Aid Certification. -Knowledge of child development, health, and fitness instruction for elementary-aged children. -Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Preferred: -Previous teaching experience in a PE or youth activity setting. -Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and inclusive instruction.
