Position: Behavioral Health Data Specialist
Qualifications
Eighteen (18) years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of clerical experience and data entry.
Typing proficiency.
Computer proficiency.
Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with parents, students, schools and community agencies.
At least one year related experience working with children and their families.
Job Goal
The Behavioral Health Data Specialist will be responsible for data related to the district mental health and Medicaid programs. They will develop, coordinate and provide case management to students and families with behavioral health needs. Provide training assistance to all providers scheduling and billing for medicaid. Provide training assistance to the mental health team related to Youth Mental Health First Aid or other state mandated training that relates to this field.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES |
Performance Responsibilities
Perform administrative duties that include answering phones and redirecting phone calls, scheduling meetings, and providing personalized support.
Works with office programs such as Google and/or Microsoft.
Ability to create, read and analyze spreadsheets.
Provide case management services to an assigned group of students that will focus on improving mental health, home life, family relationships, social skills, parenting, etc.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with community partners.
Remain up-to-date on community resources, available services and assistance in the community.
Refer students and/or their families to the appropriate community services.
Communicate effectively with the mental health specialists, school administration, teachers, students and parents.
Attend community involvement meetings.
Provide bi-weekly student/family updates.
Participate in and/or facilitate staff/student/parent meetings.
Attend and participate in team meetings and/or mental health training.
Resume responsibility of tracking/updating/organizing Youth Mental Health First Aid data or other state mandated mental health training.
Coordinate meetings for the Mental Health Team and community partners as needed.
Tracking/updating/organizing student consents and Release of Information forms for treatment.
Running weekly reports of therapist/case manager caseloads
Updating FOCUS, Skyward, Accelify and other District software programs as needed.
Data entry, tracking and monitoring of Medicaid.
Meet and facilitate training for Medicaid with all providers and stakeholders.
Assist with full time equivalent (FTE) surveys.
Organize, file, and maintain office records using established guidelines and procedures.
Complete pre and post data tracking
Assist with other office activities as assigned.
Demonstrate initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
Follow attendance, punctuality, and other qualities of an appropriate work ethic.
Maintain confidentiality regarding school and workplace matters.
Maintain expertise in assigned areas to fulfill position goals and objectives.
Participate successfully in training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency.
Keep supervisor informed of potential problems or unusual events.
Use effective, positive interpersonal communication skills.
Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
Follow Federal and State laws as well as School Board policies, rules, and regulations.
Demonstrate support for the school district and its goals and priorities.
Performs other such duties as assigned by the Director of Exceptional Student Education program, the Superintendent of School, or the Board.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects. Ability to actively perform work in classroom, office, and other business and community settings. Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (typically involving frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting). Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to weather conditions. Ability to travel outside the district for a variety of meetings and conferences.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT |
Calendar Months: 11 Month
Salary Schedule: Non-Instructional (Bargaining) Pay Grade: 99
Salary and Benefits as determined and approved annually by Hendry County School Board.
This position is entirely dependent on grant funding. Employment is contingent upon the continuation of grant funding. In the event that grant funding is reduced or discontinued, this position may be affected, up to and including termination of employment.
EVALUATION |
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board Policies for evaluation of administrative personnel.
