POSITION: NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY ASSISTANT ADVISOR ~ UINTAH HIGH SCHOOL
(Part-Time, Non-Benefited position)

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Principal, and the National Honor Society Advisor the National Honor Society Assistant Advisor is to help participating students achieve a high level of knowledge, experience, skill, and self-esteem.
District Expectations for Advisors:
- Ensure every student’s learning.
- Ensure students’ physical and emotional well-being.
- Help foster a positive school and district culture.
- Improve public support and confidence.
- Ensure financial responsibility.
- Perform all essential job duties and responsibilities.
- Assist the National Honor Society Advisor in maintaining the integrity and quality of the Uintah High School chapter.
- Assist the National Honor Society Advisor with planning and preparing for all NHS activities and competitive events.
- Supervise students during activities and events.
- Assist with chapter recruitment.
- Assist with fundraising efforts.
- Other duties as assigned by the National Honor Society Advisor
- Cover letter explaining clearly how you qualify/meet district expectations for the position.
- Evidence of educator license and applicable endorsements.
- Undergraduate and graduate transcripts documenting evidence of a college degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of three letters of recommendation, including at least one from a direct supervisor (does not have to be a current supervisor), which address candidate’s skills at working effectively with students, parents, staff and community members.
