Teaching and Learning 1.Coaching: a. Work with teachers individually or in groups to address specific needs and goals. b. Provide feedback, guidance, and resources to help teachers improve their instruction. c. Design and deliver professional development opportunities tailored to teachers' needs, such as workshops, training sessions, and modeling lessons. d. Assist teachers in analyzing student data to inform their teaching and identify areas where they can improve. e. Foster a culture of collaboration and communication among teachers, promoting a shared understanding of best practices. f. Work with teachers to build their capacity to implement evidence-based practices and adapt their teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners. g. Improve student learning outcomes by providing teachers the support they need to create highly effective learning environments. h. Maintain a working knowledge of the district's adopted Tier 1 programs in ELA, Math, and Science. i. Have a working knowledge of approved intervention programs and other scientifically research-based practices and programs.
2. Assessing a. Provide instruction in administering and interpreting reading and math assessments (diagnostic and benchmark). b. Administer Acadience Reading and Math assessments. Understand the specific procedures for each measure and grade level (materials, instructions, scoring, etc.) c. Provide further assessment and analysis of the data to determine specific interventions for students not making progress.
Collaboration and Professional Development 1. Provide and/or participate in staff development sessions conducted by the district and/or school. 2. Participate in grade level PLC and Student Support Team meetings. 3. Participate in the planning and execution of opportunities for parent involvement. 4. Coordinate and collaborate with other student support services (Special Education, Title 1, ESL, Intervention Specialist, Student Advocates, Social Work, etc.) 5. Assist in the supervision of paraprofessional educators.
