JOB TITLE: Chromebook Technician

SUMMARY: The Chromebook Technician will manage student Chromebook inventory, repairs, replacements, and support for grades 9-12, as well as College and Career Center operational tasks as assigned.This position will be housed at either High School East or High School West, but will travel between the sites on a regular basis.

Monitor and respond to Chromebook repair requests from students and teachers at all High School campuses.
Provide loaner devices to students as needed.
Process Chromebook warranty claims.
Maintain a sufficient inventory of parts and supplies.
Maintain records for Chromebooks from all sites returned for repairs.
Process payments for repair and verify Chromebook Insurance in PowerSchool.
Work with Tech Support students on repair needs.
Update Google Account and Chromebook inventory information within the Google console as students leave the district.
Check out devices, and accept payments for new students.
Student supervisory responsibilities as assigned.
Assists with special projects.
All other duties as assigned by the administrator.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Computer literate; excellent written and oral communication ability; strong knowledge of rules, regulations, policies and laws applicable to education and special education. Ability to follow all district policies and procedures. Ability to work independently, displaying initiative and enthusiasm for the tasks being done. Demonstrating strong communication skills, orally and in writing, with faculty, staff, team members, and administrators. Ability to work without supervision, and work as a team player. Ability to document records accurately. Ability to manage confidential information in a manner that respects students, families, and employees. Ability to listen effectively.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English language including common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit at a desk; frequently walk between the Owasso High School East and Owasso High School West campuses; use keyboarding skills and work on a computer for long periods. Lifting and moving up to 30 pounds.
