Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Early Childhood Education (K-3) (Level 1), LEA Specific License - Elementary.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.

Description: Our Learning Skills classroom is part of our student-supported classroom model. Students in this class demonstrate increased need for instruction regarding self-regulation skills and benefit from a learning environment that emphasizes positive behavior interventions. The teacher will be working mostly with behavior management systems and supporting classroom instruction in other academic areas as aligned with the Utah State Core Standards. A Special Education license or current enrollment in a SPED program is required.
Essential Functions
1-Lead a self-contained classroom for K-3 students with diverse learning needs.
2-Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with IEP goals.
3-Create and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with school and state regulations.
4-Closely monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
5-Collaborate effectively with the behavior team to implement and support students on BIPs.
6-Collaborate with the student’s general education teacher to provide support and create a cohesive learning experience.
7-Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
8-Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
9-Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills.
