Description
The Elementary School Principal leads the coordination of daily programs and staffing for students ranging from Kindergarten through 6th Grade, ensuring alignment with local, state, and federal regulations for both general education and students with disabilities.
Essential Functions
Serve as the chief administrator of the school in developing and implementing programs and activities that promote the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member. Ensures that all requirements of special education regulations are implemented in direct alignment with LEA, state, and federal requirements and regulations. Supervises and appraises the performance of all instructional staff directly and indirectly, including hiring and staff development. Identifies goals of the school and plans accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out LEA-wide programming. Ensures that the school program is compatible with the legal, financial and organizational structure of the school system. The principal defines the responsibilities and accountability of staff members and develops plans for interpreting the school program to the community. Ensures that LEA and State required assessments are implemented appropriately, including staff training, overseeing test administration, maintaining current databases, and providing timely data reports. Provides activities that facilitate the professional growth of the school staff and enhance the quality of the instructional program. Ensures that instructional objectives and curriculum for all subjects are implemented with fidelity according to Spectrum Academy guidelines. Evaluates student progress in the instructional program by means that include the maintaining of up-to-date student data. Maintains inter-school system communication and seeks assistance from the Academic Director to improve performance. Maintains good relationships with students, staff, and parents, including frequent and appropriate communication and seeking input from all relevant stakeholders. The principal complies with established lines of authority. Any other duties as assigned by the Regional Director.
Pay: Final salary offered will be contingent on experience and licensure.
