Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: School Counselor (K-12) (Level 1), School Counselor (K-12) (Level 2), School Counselor (K-12) (Level 3).
The license position area must be in Counselor/Guidance.
Description
School counselor position available for 2025-2026 school year. The School Counselor reports directly to the Assistant Director and works closely in collaboration with Administration, Director of Special Education, other school counselor and office staff.
Some responsibilities include; -Academic counseling -Middle School student scheduling -Providing social, emotional and behavioral support/counseling to K-9 students on an as needed/referral basis -Participating in and providing professional development training for faculty members and parents -Coordination, implementation and monitoring of student 504 plans -Providing social skills classes / small groups to elementary students -National Junior Honor Society faculty sponsor -HOPE Squad faculty sponsor -Participate as a key member of the schools Emergency Response Team -Attend USOE and other training as required -Coordinate and implement additional student programs and supports as needed (HOPE Week, Red Ribbon Week etc.)
