Qualifications
School Social Worker: Master's Degree in Social Work and hold, or be eligible to hold, a Utah State Board of Education Social Work license.
School Counselor: Master's Degree in School Counseloring and hold, or be eligible to hold, a Utah State Board of Education School Counselor license
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
Social Worker: Provide comprehensive school social work services to parents, students, and school staff, addressing barriers that limit a student from receiving full benefit from their educational experience. Respond to referrals from school administration, parents, teachers, the Student Support Team, the Special Education Committee and others by providing direct services and by assisting families in accessing appropriate community resources.
School Counselor: Counsel’s students by providing guidance services and gives staff and parent support by performing the following duties: Provides guidance & support for students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social needs, and individual planning; teaches guidance curriculum and helps students gain vision of relationship between academic performance and career opportunities; presents professional development to teachers & parents; coordinates parent involvement activities; crisis intervention; develop student intervention plans; provide small group counseling for interaction, communication & support skill development; sets up/attends conferences for support groups, test interpretations with parents, new student orientation with parents.

Placed on the Licensed Teacher Salary Schedule
Hours
Full time, 193 days. To begin August 2025
