Key Responsibilities: Inspire & Engage Students Develop and implement dynamic, hands-on, and inquiry-based lesson plans aligned with Florida Mathematics Standards for high school. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools to spark curiosity and enhance understanding of mathematical concepts. Encourage student ownership of learning, fostering independence, creativity, and perseverance in problem-solving. Cultivate a Positive & Inclusive Classroom Culture Create a welcoming and respectful environment where all students feel valued, supported, and encouraged to collaborate and participate actively. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring equitable access to success for all learners. Establish clear expectations for behavior and academic performance, guiding students with positive reinforcement and a growth mindset approach. Encourage Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking Lead engaging activities and real-world mathematical applications that allow students to develop problem-solving and analytical skills. Foster an inquiry-based learning environment, where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and apply critical thinking skills to mathematical concepts. Commit to Professional Growth & School Community Engagement Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction to meet student needs. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate mathematics across disciplines, creating meaningful connections for students. Actively participate in professional development, school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and community events to support continuous improvement and student success.
