 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for payroll for all transportation employees using KRONOS and Everyday Solutions (time scan software on buses).  Duties include monitoring time scans for all non-exempt employees, correcting missed punches (or charging leave), reconciling weekly and monthly payroll totals, and answering payroll queries from employees.
  • Accounting to include issuing and tracking purchase orders, account transfers, monitoring funds available, and submitting requisitions as required based on procurement amount.
  • Maintain accounts receivable ledger for invoice and payment tracking of transportation costs to schools for school programs, grants and other initiatives.
  • Monitor purchases and coordinate submission of invoices and/or material receipts to Finance to ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Monitor overtime/comp time, part time, and temporary payroll accounts.
  • Track field trip allocations for all schools and maintain current balance of allocations at all times.
  • Audit preparation including all required supporting documentation.
  • Financial resource for administrator, employees and Finance staff.
  • Assist Director with development of annual departmental budget.
  • Maintain spreadsheets to monitor various items as requested such as fuel usage.
  • Assist with the setup of passwords for new employees and train at the Kiosk how to review and print their timecard and pay slip.
  • Coordinate maintenance with outside vendor to repair card readers and GPS on buses.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
 JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 
  • Associate’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
