Canyon View High School is seeking a Full Time Math Teacher/ Credit Recovery Coordinator beginning in August for the 2025-2026 school year. Math I/II Credential preferred. 

The Math Educator/ Credit Recovery Coordinator is under the direction of the school principal and assistant principal, this individual will teach Math I and Math II courses to students in person in the classroom and students at other district sites via broadcast in a blended learning environment.  They will also facilitate science and language arts instruction broadcast to CV students from other sites in the district.  As credit recovery coordinator, this position will help manage the efforts of the learning strategies room and the reset room as part of Canyon View High’s overall effort to help students recover credit and stay on track for graduation.

• Managing the blended learning room and teaching Math I and II classes as needed in-person and via IVC technology

• Work with school administration and teachers to collect, document, manage, and use data to inform student intervention plans, referrals for additional supports, problem solving, schedules and services to benefit students. 

• Able to use Google Suite effectively (i.e.Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides) (Educators Handbook, Powerschool)

• Support credit recovery with students that are struggling academically

• Understand and help with EdGenuity credit recovery software

• Communicates constantly with classroom teachers, support staff, students and parents

• Participate as part of the administrative behavior team which includes working directly with the principal, assistant principal, school counselor, and SRO.  

• Ensure that changes to student programming are data driven and documented effectively. 

• Provides instructional support assistance to individual students and student groups.

• Aids/support students in developing appropriate social skills to foster academic and behavioral independence. 

• Builds a strong rapport with students to help motivate them in school.

• Works with school professionals and other paraprofessionals to build the school's capacity to address student’s academic needs. 

• Maintains current knowledge and improves skill application by participating in regular on-going professional development 

• Adheres to all local, state, and federal policies and procedures for special education and behavior compliance.

• Supports and helps to develop plans for students who have struggled with attendance and Tiered  classroom behavior.

• Participates in the development, maintenance and carrying out of systems for classroom management. 

• Guides students in working and interacting harmoniously with other students. 

• Operates various types of office equipment such as computers, copy machines, etc.

• Complies with established district policies and procedures.

• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance is required
