NES Lunchroom Monitor (Part-Time) Newcastle Public Schools – Newcastle, Oklahoma
Newcastle Public Schools is seeking dependable individuals to serve as Lunchroom Monitors during student lunch periods. These are part-time, non-exempt positions with work hours ranging from approximately 1.45 to 3 hours per day, depending on the site assignment.
Position Summary Lunchroom Monitors help ensure a safe, orderly, and pleasant environment during student lunch periods by supervising students and supporting staff during mealtime activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise students during lunch periods in the cafeteria and surrounding areas
Promote and encourage positive behavior, good table manners, and cleanliness
Refer disciplinary or safety concerns to the principal or designated staff member
Dismiss students at scheduled times in accordance with school procedures
Assist with cleanup and general cafeteria organization as needed
Maintain professional, respectful communication with students and staff
Attend training sessions or staff meetings as required
Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee
Qualifications High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods and respond quickly in active supervision environments
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Must pass a background check in accordance with state and district policy
Compensation $10.00 per hour
Part-time, hourly, non-exempt position
