Must hold a certificate issued by Oklahoma State Department of Education.
The certificate position area must be in one of the following areas: Autism, Deaf-Blind, Early Intervention Specialist, Educational Diagnostician, Emotional Behavior Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Severe/Profound Disabilities, Special Education (General), Traumatic Brain Injury, Visual Impairment.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: Preschool/Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The certificate status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Description
Newcastle Public Schools is currently seeking highly qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic Special Education teachers for the 25-26 school year. NPS is a 4-day week school. We are looking for applicants that have experience creating, reviewing, monitoring and implementing IEP's. This person must be willing to collaborate, consult, schedule and instruct regular education staff regarding classroom inclusion, interventions and/or modification techniques. The ideal candidate will be able to create a classroom environment that is conducive for all students to learn, be appropriate to the maturity and interest of all the students, and be able to plan and implement instructional lessons/strategies to meet the needs of individual students. Our teachers work in grade level PLC teams; therefore, we are looking for teachers that have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with co-workers. This candidate must be well organized and have the ability to maintain accurate and complete school related paperwork. All applicants must be certified in Special Education.
