Description
This is a 12-month administrative contract position responsible for general curriculum, instruction, assessment, and leadership responsibilities. The position requires extensive knowledge and expertise in instruction, assessment, and intervention strategies/programs across Literacy/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Technology, and World Languages. This role requires a dynamic and dedicated leader committed to enhancing instructional excellence and promoting student success across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the director and oversee all areas of secondary education, including: Secondary Arts and Health programs. Instructional Coaches and Library Media Specialists. Textbook Adoption and Human Sexuality Committee. Advanced Placement (AP) programs. Supervision of ESL services, refugee services, and Title III, IV, and VI programs. Mentor and assist secondary administrators in fulfilling their duties. Evaluation of licensed and support professionals. Maintain familiarity and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local policies and regulations. Prepare and manage budgets, including securing program funding through grant writing. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
Additional Contributions: Actively participate as a member of the District Teaching and Learning Team, contributing to planning, coordinating, and delivering professional development initiatives. Foster collaboration across teams, ensuring alignment with district goals and priorities. Provide guidance and support to colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong background in compliance, instructional leadership and program management. Experience in budget management and securing grants. Proven ability to build and lead collaborative teams. Experience in mentoring and coaching.
