Job Description: Executive Administrator (EA)

Position Title: Executive Administrator of Schools Location: DaVinci Academy of Science and the Arts Reports to: Board of Directors Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: The Executive Administrator at DaVinci Academy is a full-time leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations and long-term strategic goals of the school. The Executive Administrator will ensure the fulfillment of DaVinci Academy's mission and vision by focusing on improving student achievement, enhancing teacher effectiveness, and maintaining financial stability. The Executive Administrator will act as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the school, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and educational standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Educational Leadership: • Ensure the school meets its charter goals through regular monitoring, reporting, and strategic adjustments. • Provide oversight to ensure that all educational programs and initiatives align with the charter agreement and the mission of DaVinci Academy. • Drive continuous improvement in student achievement, both individually and collectively. • Promote teacher effectiveness through professional development, evaluation, and support. • Oversee the implementation of the curriculum and ensure alignment with state standards and charter goals. • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability among staff and students. Operational Management:

• Oversee all daily operations of DaVinci Academy in a diligent and efficient manner. • Ensure the school meets all reporting requirements of the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) and other state and federal authorities. • Ensure the school complies with all standards and rules established for Utah public charter schools by the Utah State Board of Education, Utah State Charter Board, or other legally constituted authorities. Financial Oversight:

• Develop and manage the school’s budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors. • Ensure the financial stability and sustainability of DaVinci Academy through sound financial practices. • Oversee all financial reporting and audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Governance and Board Relations:

• Provide regular updates on progress toward meeting charter goals and make recommendations to the Board for continuous improvement. • Ensure the Board is informed of any compliance issues related to the school's charter agreement. • Serve as the primary liaison between DaVinci Academy’s administration and the Board of Directors. • Provide regular, comprehensive reports to the Board to ensure their full ability to govern the school. • Collaborate with the Board on strategic planning and policy development. Compliance and Legal Responsibilities:

• Ensure the school adheres to all applicable state and federal laws, including those specific to public charter schools. • Ensure that all school policies conform to DaVinci Academy’s charter and mission. • Oversee the submission of all required reports to state and federal agencies. Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Foster positive relationships with parents, students, staff, and community members. • Act as a spokesperson for DaVinci Academy, promoting its mission and achievements. • Build partnerships with community organizations to enhance educational opportunities for students. Staff Supervision and Human Resources:

• Oversee hiring, retention, and evaluation of all school staff. • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and policies. • Foster a positive school culture that promotes staff engagement and professional growth.

Additional Duties: The Executive Administrator may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors to meet the evolving needs of DaVinci Academy. These duties will be detailed in the Executive Administrator Job Description, which may be amended as necessary.
